Workplace Learning

Workplace learning activities provide relevant and ‘real world’ learning for students and can include experiences such as traditional work experience placements, participating in vocational education and learning programs, activities and taster days.

Workplace Learning Policy (PDF, 260KB) and Workplace Learning Procedures (PDF, 720KB) have been developed specifically to help teachers and other school staff ensure high school students are placed in safe and appropriate workplace learning activities.

Information contained within the Procedures document includes: how to meet insurance, legal, risk management and OH&S requirements, as well as information on restricted placements, and industry specific advice, requirements and exclusions.
